Ecological Footprinting
An Ecological Footprint measures your company’s environmental impact using an internationally standardized metric, the “global acre”. This measurement includes a broader range of environmental elements than the Carbon Footprint, combining your company’s raw material extraction and processing, direct land use and water consumption with the Carbon Footprints greenhouse gas emissions. The total impact is then expressed in global acres, which are defined as one acre of global-average bioproductive land.
An Ecological Footprint is a powerful tool that defines the environmental intensity of your company’s resources used and activities performed. The results of an Ecological Footprint can then be used to establish a Sustainability Program and set company-wide targets and goals to reduce waste, operational costs and impacts to the environment.
Eco Advisors, LLC. is partnered with the firm, Environmental Performance Group (EPG), to perform Carbon Footprinting analysis, reporting, and tracking.
